Low Voltage Lightning Protection Surge Protector Specification Model Parameter Selection - Multi-level Surge Protector
(1) Article 3 of Section 5.4.3 of GB 50343-2012 stipulates that for AC power supply lines entering buildings, at the junction of LPZ0A or LPZ0B and LPZ1, such as the main distribution box of the line, a surge protector of Class I or a surge protective device of Class II should be installed as the first-level protection. At the junction of subsequent protection areas such as the distribution box of the distribution line and the distribution box of the electronic equipment room, a surge protection device of Class II or Class III can be installed as the subsequent protection; the power ports of particularly important electronic information equipment can be installed with surge protectors of Class II or Class III as fine protection. Information equipment using DC power supply should be equipped with an appropriate DC power supply line surge protector depending on its working voltage requirements.
(2) Section 5.4.3.10 of GB50343-2012: When multiple surge protectors are installed on a line, the energy coordination between them should be considered. Article 5.4.3.6 stipulates: When the line length between the voltage switch type surge protector and the voltage limiting type surge protector is less than 10m, and the line between the voltage limiting type surge protectors is less than 5m, a decoupling device should be installed between the two levels of surge protectors. When the surge protector has an automatic energy matching function, the line length between the surge protectors is not limited.
