Introduction To Spd Remote Signaling Function
The remote signal function is an alarm output dry contact that can output an alarm signal when the surge protector is damaged. By collecting this alarm signal, the working status of the surge protector can be viewed in real time on a remote computer.
As shown in the figure below, the gray terminal is the alarm signal output node of the surge protector, also called a remote signal dry contact or remote signal switch. This terminal outputs a normally open or normally closed switch signal, and the terminal is marked with NO, COM, and NC. When the surge protector is in normal state, NO and COM are normally open, and NC and COM are normally closed. When the SPD is damaged, NO and COM normally open will become normally closed, and NC and COM normally closed will become normally open. Users can choose open circuit alarm or short circuit alarm according to their own switch quantity acquisition equipment.
